At Brady Family, we’ve been proud supporters of Barretstown since 2008. This summer, Brady Family are supporting the Barretstown Big Picnic by asking people across Ireland to host their very own Big Picnic for Barretstown this July and August!

Get your colleagues involved for a remote coffee morning, have a playdate with the neighbours or even a Big Picnic birthday party. No matter how you’re hosting your Big Picnic, it makes an incredible difference to the families at Barretstown. Everyone can have a role, and together we can help change the lives of seriously ill children and their families.

Barretstown offers free therapeutic programmes at our unique, specially designed campus in Co. Kildare and through outreach programmes in schools and hospitals throughout Ireland for children and their families living with a serious illness.

When a child is seriously ill, their life becomes about everything they can’t do anymore, and they can stop feeling like a regular child. Even when they physically start to get better, the psychological scars of their illness, or that of their siblings, can remain, eroding confidence, diminishing self-esteem and affecting coping skills.

Barretstown empowers and encourages each child to step out of their comfort zone and rebuild their confidence through medically endorsed therapeutic programmes. They start to discover the magic of being a child again.

Hospitals treat the illness. Barretstown treats the child.
